NEKCOA Working with NVRH to Raise Awareness of Alcohol Abuse

Mel Reis • April 18, 2023

With the support of a grant from the Vermont Department of Health, Division of Substance Use Programs, the NEKCOA is partnering with Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital to draw awareness to the dangers of alcohol as a person ages.  For healthy adults 65 and older, drinking more than one drink per day can lead to health problems.  In addition, when alcohol is combined with prescription medications and pre-existing health conditions, it can lead to more dangerous complications.
