Calls Being Accepted to Schedule Appointments for Medicare Open Enrollment

This is a very busy time of year for the Council.  Open Enrollment for Medicare Part D is ONCE a YEAR October 15-December 7 (all changes take effect January 1). This is an opportunity to sit down with our staff to review your plan to determine changes that could benefit you. We encourage you to call us first - there are many attempts by private companies to present plans that offer misleading information to benefit their company and not you - these updates are, at times, very challenging/or impossible to change and could result in extra fees for you.  Andrea Labor, our State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) Coordinator leads our support team to offer the right options for you.  Be safe and informed, call us toll free to schedule your appointment to review your Part D plan (800) 642-5119 or local (802) 748-5182 or (802) 334-2190. 

Bear in mind:

1) Medicare will NEVER call you at home. If you answer the phone and they are claiming to represent Medicare, they are not.

2) There is no "new Medicare card" for this year, this information is incorrect.

3) There is no "laminated or metal" Medicare card, this information is incorrect.

All appointments for Medicare Open Enrollment start on October 15th and run through December 7th.
